Experience the beauty and history of the Alto Palancia region with a guided hike to Monte Pina in Pina de Montalgrao. Our journey begins in the charming village of Pina de Montalgrao, set at 1,065 meters and known for its medieval heritage, narrow streets, and the 13th-century Church of San Salvador. From here, we follow scenic single-track trails and gravel paths that wind through lush pine forests, open meadows, and rocky terrain.
Reaching the summit at 1,405 meters, you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and valleys — a perfect spot to rest, take photos, and appreciate the natural landscape of Castellón. This hike offers a medium challenge (9 km with 400 m elevation gain) suitable for hikers with some prior experience. Along the way, your guide Melchor will share insights about the local history, culture, and environment, making this both a physical and cultural adventure.
