Join us for our monthly plant walk & gather around the trees to learn the basics of nature journaling!
About this Event

"In some native languages, the term for plants translates to 'those who take care of us.'" - Robin Wall Kimmerer.

What to expect: Join us at Chantry Flats for our monthly nature journal gathering. This time around, we'll be hiking to the waterfalls in a small group. We'll be making stops along the way to ID plants and journal (and snack). The total hike is about 3.5 miles (out and back) and considered moderate by Alltrails.com.

Art supplies & tea provided. You will also gain access to our Nature Journaling Telegram group chat after our time together.

This hike invites you to explore amazing teachings of our plantcestors, and some of the traditions that have kept their teachings alive. You'll learn about traditional uses as well as how to identify them, all while deepening your connection to nature.

Exact meeting location sent 3 days before the event.

All levels of knowledge, ages, and dogs (on leash) are welcome. Bring an old nature journal or a new one to work on! A pen, pencill, and and even colors pencils if you wish. Bring a light snack and water as well.

By donation: $15-$30 donation suggested. Your donation goes towards tea, the guided hike, & helps build our art supplies which are shared.

Level of difficulty (1-10): 5 (expect water crossings & 680+ feet of elevation gain)

Parking: Parking area can get busy! Please arrive extra early to find parking. Allow yourself 25 minutes to find parking.

Waitlist: Please release your ticket if you won't be able to join via Eventbrite. There's usually a waitlist to join.
