If anyone is interested in joining N.O.M.H.A.D.S. (Nobly Ordered Mindful Hikers Advocating Diversity Society) on a hike of Humphrey’s Peak- the highest natural point and second most prominent peak in Arizona (with an elevation of 12,633 feet). The hike will take place on October 25th. Humphrey’s Peak Trailhead (9300 North Snowbowl Road, Flagstaff, AZ 86001) is 14.5 miles northwest of Downtown Flagstaff. This is a hard hike with an elevation gain of 3,356ft. We will be meeting at 6:45AM and plan to start the trail at 7:00AM. We are starting a little late to accommodate hikers who are driving up from the Phoenix area (Note: For hikers who are committed to going and want to go a day early (i.e., October 24th). All Trails estimates a little over 6 hours for completion. We are planning for 8-9 hours to be on the safe side. Bring plenty of water (at least 3 Liters), snacks, lunch, hiking shoes/boots and plan to dress in layers (Note: We will monitor the weather in Flagstaff to decide if it is safe for us to hike). This trail is dog friendly! However, if you want to know more about the trail itself download the "All Trails" application from your Apple App Store/Google Play Store or the AllTrails website (https://www.alltrails.com/). If you have any questions, send me or one of the co-hosts an Instant Message. Also, if you are not a member of N.O.M.H.A.D.S. and want to become a member here is the link: https://www.facebook.com/share/g/1AinVUVSph/
Hope to see you there!
