The Glen to Glen Remembrance Hike for Hospice will take place on the morning of Sunday 28th April, 2024 and takes a scenic looped route through the Glendalough and Glendasan valleys. The Hike:
For 2024, there are two options to choose from.
Option 1: The main route follows a moderate 12km loop – a good level of fitness is required for this 3-4-hour hike.
Option 2: This year we are offering a shorter 8km route, if you prefer a gentler option, which can be completed within the same time frame as the longer route.
For both options:
Registration is €25 per person. U16’s can join free of charge, once accompanied by a guardian
Meeting point is in the Laragh Carpark and registration is from 9am. The hike will set off at 9.30am.
Feel free to bring along a photo of your loved one to place on our Remembrance Board, at the start of the hike.
Both groups will be led by experienced guides, and maps will be provided.
Participants are required to register in advance and will receive a free Our Lady’s Hospice & Care Services t-shirt on the day!
Complimentary refreshments will be served in the carpark upon completion and everyone will receive a Certificate of Completion!
Unfortunately, we cannot allow dogs on this hike.
We are asking participants to raise €100 each which will go towards enhancing local hospice services, and funding things like complimentary therapies, bereavement support services, specialist equipment and development of our hospice gardens.
