Join us for a refreshing winter social hike on Sunday, February 8th from 8:00–9:30 AM at the beautiful Deborah and Roger Richardson Nature Preserve. This is a great opportunity to get outside, move your body, and connect with others while enjoying the peaceful beauty of nature.
This preserve is rich in local history, featuring a home originally built in 1706 by early settlers Benajah and Lydia Barrows. The land includes open hayfields, forest, wetlands, and remnants of early agricultural use. We’ll follow a scenic loop trail through the preserve, with views that change beautifully with the winter season.
📍 Meet-up Location:
Parking lot at 577B Wilmarth Street, Attleboro
🥾 Hike Details:
• Approximately 2 miles
• Two loops of the trail
• Open to all fitness levels
• Expect light movement tips, simple exercises, and stretches along the way
⚠️ Trail Conditions:
Winter conditions may include mud, ice, or uneven terrain. We strongly recommend hiking boots with good traction; ice cleats or Trax are encouraged if conditions are slippery.
☕ After the hike, we’ll have hot beverages available—please bring your own mug if possible, as supplies are limited.
🐾 Dogs are welcome and must remain leashed.
This is a FREE community event, so bring a friend and enjoy a fun, energizing morning outdoors.
