About this Event
Central Chapter of INPS invites all INPS members to register for a rugged hike limited to 20 people
Join Allisyn Gillet, state ornithologist, and Rae Garrett, HEE field coordinator, for a birding tour of the Hardwood Ecosystem Experiment (HEE). The HEE is a 100 year long study out of Morgan-Monroe and Yellowwood State Forest focused on forest management and its impacts on flora and fauna. Attendees will participate in a somewhat rugged hike (gravel path with steep incline/decline) in an actively managed forest with burned and harvested areas.
Attendees can park at the gate to Bartley ridge in Yellowwood State Forest, which is the meeting location.
This hike is free, but limited to INPS members with no physical limitation for hiking trails with gravel and steep incline/decline. Registration is required as is advance completion of waiver forms.
