XCO, Wingello Forest, Sunday 10th November, 2pm.Please note all entry is online - CUTOFF is at 10:00am on Sunday, so that we have time to print start lists etc before heading to the track.
This is a traditional cross country race on a loop of around 5-6km. Perfect for beginners or those wanting to try racing for the first time but also fun and fast for experienced riders. Lap numbers determined on the day, dependent on category. Number plate pickup any time after 1:00pm, racing at 2pm for all categories.
Riders may do a practice lap around the course between 1:00pm-2:00pm, before racing begins but the trail is reasonably straight-forward with nothing super technical and should be able to be ridden without a practice lap.
There are categories for all ages, from beginners and young kids to experienced racers. $10 adults, $5 children for Highlands Trails members or $15 adults, $10 children if you are not a member. Please considering joining Highlands Trails as improving our member numbers allows us more sway with local organisations such as Forestry and Council, to be able to advocate for new trail development. If you are a member of another club, you can do a Club Add on for $10 and join as many clubs as you like!
U9s and U11s may do a modified course, based on the experience level of the entrants, but will race at the same time as the adult categories. Please leave a comment in your entry for your child if you think they might need a shortened lap.
New members welcome!
