HFR in the Autumn was awesome — let's do it again! 🎃Come retreat with us as we dance the night away and get cosy with us as we bask in the crisp autumnal beauty of Lochearnhead.
This is a community event where everyone volunteers and participates to create a beautiful collective experience. We provide a space to connect with one another and to create your own magic.
Share with us in communal vegetarian meals, attendee-led skill shares of all kinds (ranging from dance classes and jam sessions to life drawing and cheese tastings), and long nights of parties led by volunteer DJs and live musicians.
--------
📆 Registration opens in the summer. Date to be confirmed.
💷 The standard ticket price is still to be confirmed, but we offer flexible pricing where possible to assist those who need it.
🏞️ Please note that this event takes place in an isolated residential location near the forest and water. While we have the building to ourselves, there may be other groups staying or doing activities nearby.

Not sure what to expect?
Beyond our structure of skill shares by day and parties by night, what makes us special is our community. We have ten principles that reflect our ethos and culture, developed naturally over the course of our events, to give newcomers an idea of the atmosphere they can look forward to.
**Inclusion**
Regardless of background, identity, circumstance, or experiences, everyone is welcome at the table and their needs accommodated within our power.
**Respect**
Respect for personal boundaries and individuality is fundamental. Interactions are guided by kindness and consideration.
**Participation**
We create space for participants to initiate their own magic. Our event is community led and is best when we all commit to the experience.
**Expression**
We embrace free flowing ideas and share what we have that is unique. We are authentic without fear of judgement, and support each other in the experiences we create.
**Connection**
**As good dancers, we actively seek connection with one another and let our event be a conversation. We build bonds through our activities and break bread with friends new and old.**
**Volunteering**
The event relies on the collective efforts of everyone, with each participant contributing within their abilities and available energy. Volunteering is essential to making our events happen.
**Borrowed Places**
We respect the environment and those who share it with us, committing to leave no trace. As guests, we treat the space and our neighbours with care and gratitude.
**Safer Spaces**
We abide by a code of conduct that ensures everyone’s safety and well-being. Clear communication, consent, and boundaries keep our community healthy.
**Care for Each Other**
We have a culture of care and compassion. We look out for one another and remain conscious of each other’s needs.
**Care for Yourself**
"Treat yourself as you would treat others." We maintain awareness of our own well-being and practice self-care. Remember to rest, eat, and drink water.
