This FREE session is aimed at anyone who would like to find out more about studying a degree in one of the following subject areas at Truro & Penwith College:

  1. BSc (Hons) Applied Sport and Health Science
  2. FdA Film, Media & Photography/ BA (Hons) Applied Media
  3. FdSc Youth, Social & Community Studies/ BSc (Hons) Applied Social Science
  4. FdSc Law with either Criminology and Criminal Justice or Business
  5. FdSc Cyber Security

Overview:

Throughout the session you will learn more about the Degree Courses that we have on offer, as well as taking away something practical on the day.

Sport - Bite sized tasters on: Anatomy and physiology, NHS Health Checks, Motor learning & Biomechanics and Psychology and its impact on performance

Media - Photography and moving image studio workshop using professional equipment to shoot high quality photographs and short supporting moving image sequences.

Social Science - An exploration of the environment factors that impact Health and a chance to take part in a live psychology experiment

Law - Restorative justice: considering the perspectives of both a perpetrator and a victim in a criminal scenario.

Cyber Security - Investigating the use and practice of steganography: Manipulating file headers and use in forensic investigations and espionage.

You will have the opportunity to meet the tutors and chat with some of our Student Ambassadors. We will also offer the chance to visit advice stands on the following:

  • Applying through UCAS
  • Careers guidance
  • Short course options to support progression to He and return to academic study
  • ACCESS to HE
