Dear Parents and Carers,Buckinghamshire Council, in partnership with FACT Bucks, invite you to attend one of our upcoming High Support Needs (HSN) Workshops, designed to hear directly from families and carers about their experiences supporting children and young people with high support needs.
A high support need can be health, care, learning or social interaction related or very often a combination of them. It may arise because of an inherent condition or as a result of the lack of early identification and intervention in support of their needs, which have now escalated, or indeed a combination of them. Often this will be characterised by requiring frequent support or intervention to complete daily tasks and/or remain safe.
These sessions are part of our ongoing work to improve services and support for children and young people with the highest levels of need. Your insights will help shape future developments and ensure that our approach is informed by real-life experiences.
What to Expect:
• A safe and respectful space to share your journey
• Opportunities to highlight both positive and challenging experiences
• Interactive tools like Mentimeter and verbal feedback
• A focus on learning from past experiences to inform future improvements
• Input from our newly formed High Support Needs team
