High Street Stompers to serve up New Orleans Style Jazz in Clintonville
Columbus' own talented New Orleans style trad jazz band, the High Street Stompers, kick off the Central Ohio Hot Jazz Society's Fall show season,
2-5 pm September 28 at the Clintonville Woman's Club, 3951 N. High Street, Columbus. Make sure to bring your dancing shoes for a swingin'
hot time! The band is led by New Orleans born and bred Milo Mannino on trumpet. On trombone is leader of the Famous Jazz Orchestra, Vaughn Wiester, along with Michael Cox, clarinet; Jim Luellen, Piano; Jim Curlis, drums; and Sid Townsend on bass. BYOB, plus hot dogs, soup, hot entrees, snacks and hot and cold beverages for purchase.
General Admission $20, COHJS members and SwingColumbus dancers $15, music educators and music students free. All other students $10.
