High School Theatre presents a One Act Play "The Outsiders"

This entirely practical stage adaptation deals with real people, seen through the eyes of young Ponyboy, a Greaser on the wrong side of life, caught up in territorial battles between the have-it-made rich kids—the Socs—and his tough, underprivileged "greaser" family and friends. In the midst of urban warfare, somehow Ponyboy can’t stop thinking about sunsets and poetry and develops a special bond with Cherry, a beautiful Soc, over their surprising similarities. At the same time, Cherry's attracted to the older, tougher Dallas, and in a sense she's caught in the violent space between the Greasers and the Socs. While the Socs appear to have everything, the only thing a Greaser has is his friends. This is a story about young people who are not yet hopeless in the midst of struggle.

This High School play will be competing at the Georgia Theater Conference in Gainesville, GA on Thursday, October 17th and in the GHSA Region One Act Play competition at Dawson County High School on Thursday, October 24th.

FAQs

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

Parking is best found in front of the Long Forum and towards the Oakbrook side of the campus.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

It's preferable to have a printed ticket, however you can also use the emailed ticket or Eventbrite app on your smart phone with the QR or bar code for entry.

What can/can't I bring to the event?

No outside food or drink is allowed in the Theatre. No flash photography or videography can be used during the event.

Use a laptop or desktop computer (not a device) to order tickets. If you are using a Mac, do not use Safari. Use Chrome or Firefox.

• Click green GET SEATS button, or SELECT SEATS ON THE SEAT MAP.
• Enlarge Seat Map using the + or – signs.
• Click on the seats you want. Use the trashcan by the ticket info on the right to delete the seats you do not want.
• Enter Promo Code if applicable.
• Click Check Out.
• Complete Registration Info.
• Go to your email and PRINT your tickets. Bring them to the performance, please.
