About this Event
The High School Battle of The Bands Fight Cancer Festival was created to celebrate the unique academic and musical experiences that Liberal Arts Teaches young, aspiring scholars and musicians. Sponsored by the Louisiana Youth Sports Academy, the Second Annual Showcase on October 23, 2022 will highlight remarkable high school bands from across the nation and honor the heroic men and women who fight cancer daily.
The High School Battle of The Bands Fight Cancer Festival is dedicated to exploring music’s cultural and educational impact on our communities while supporting cancer awareness through live music and artistic performances. This is the reason we call this event the High School Battle of The Bands Fight Cancer Festival!
Starting at 3 p.m., the day’s event will start with 14 elite bands who will battle it out for first, second, and third Place, and of course, the title of Best of the Best High School Band at the year's premier networking event.
The awards ceremony will recognize the following categories of performance excellence:
• Best Drum Majors
• Best Drums Section
• Best Brass Section
• Best Dance Line
• Best Auxiliary
• Band Stands Battle
• Best Over All Band
