Hidden Falls Creepy Crawl - October 11th - 13thIt's time for another Hidden Falls trip!!
Depending on whenever everyone arrives, we will most likely do some mild trails Friday morning/afternoon and then start Saturday morning around 9 AM. Please bring water, snacks, and pack something for lunch on the ride. Don't forget your GMRS radio. It keeps you in the loop on the trails. We'll be running channel 16. We will keep Friday's trails to moderate (2-4 rated) and then step it up a bit on Saturday. Depending on how many rigs we have in attendance, we may split into two groups. Needless to say, there should be something for everyone, so please plan on joining us.
Arrive early to air down/disconnect, register, etc. FYI you can, register online. There will be a line to register on Friday and Saturday mornings so don't expect to get in and out quickly. Most of us will be arriving late Thursday night or Friday by noon, wheeling will start Friday afternoon and heading home Sunday AM. But if that doesn't work for you then join us when you can. Tiffani and Iwill be there sometime Thursday to scout some of the
trails ahead of time and get settled in so if anyone wants to wheel some Friday morning give us a shout. Please let us know when you are planning to arrive so we have an idea what everyone is doing.
Lodging: The park has several cabins, RV spots, and tent camping so make your reservations early. You can call them from Thursday - Sunday. There is also lodging available in and around Marble Falls.
Meals: Breakfast will be at camp in the morning so whether that is pop-tarts or full breakfast, you decide what works best for you. Lunch will be on the trails or at camp so make sure you've got your cold-cuts ready. Dinner: Marble Falls city limits is only 7 miles from the park so in years past we've driven into town to have a proper meal on at least one of the evenings but cooking at camp is also an option. There are a few
microbreweries (Double Horn, Bear King and Save the World) in town as well if you need to wet your whistle.
Prices: Prepare to pay around $67 total for the days we are there if you are a driver and up to $30 total fi you are riding shotgun. Then another $15 per day for primitive camping. Prices will go up from there depending on your overnight accommodations.
