Sustainable Orewa are running the inaugural Hibiscus Coast Edible Garden Trail.This is a collaborative community project, which will showcase a variety of local gardens aimed at inspiring the community to start growing veggies on their property and become more self-sufficient.
The participating gardens will show examples of what is possible on a small section, gardens incorporating restoration, abundance while being low maintenance, climate change resilience, transformative process from barren land to edible food forests, growing on a slope and on clay soil etc.
