Mark Your Calendar for June 10-11, 2023 when Hammonds House hosts MUSEUM MARKET: Spring Edition, a pop-up shopping experience. We will have Black artisans in the entrepreneurial community to exhibit and sell their goods to our members, patrons and the broader community. Our goal is to provide a platform for the artisan/entrepreneur and increase awareness of local, emerging Black creative businesses in Atlanta, especially digital ones. Our participants are makers of handmade skincare products, unique greeting cards, home décor objects, jewelry, and more.
Free for members and regular museum admission for non-members.

"ATLANTA BLACK" by Paul Stephen Benjamin
(ON VIEW FRIDAY, APRIL 21, 2023 - JUNE 25, 2023)
The works of award winning and critically acclaimed artist Paul Stephen Benjamin will exhibit April 21 through June 25, 2023. Benjamin's breadth of work includes sculptures, video installations, paintings, sound, and performances. His provocative work centers an ongoing exploration of the color black and forces the viewer to consider the existence of Blackness beyond narrow confines. A Chicago native based in Atlanta, Benjamin's art has won many awards and gained notice in the New York Times, Black Art in America, and other well-read publications.
This exhibition and the Hammonds House Museum is supported by generous funding from Fulton County Board of Commissioners through the Fulton County Department of Arts and Culture, City of Atlanta Mayor's Office of Cultural Affairs, National Performance Network (NPN), Community Foundation of Greater Atlanta, the Estate of Dr. Doris Derby, and Hammonds House Museum Members and Donors.
