A közel húszéves Anna and the Barbies akusztikus koncertet ad, amelynek keretein belül Platón barlanghasonlata vetül ki a Müpa „nagy barlangfalára”. A zenekar indulása óta kísérletezik a különböző művészeti ágak ütköztetésével, fuzionálásával. Az együttes a Hey, June! fesztiválon áthangszerelt repertoárt mutat be, továbbá emberi, mozgó, pulzáló, lélegző biodíszletet vonultat fel - a platóni barlangból való közös kitekintés reményében.A Pásztor Anna vezette Anna and the Barbies kendőzetlenül őszinte és felemelően pozitív dalszövegekkel, lüktető és magukkal ragadó rockos ütemekkel és átütő erejű színpadi jelenléttel hódította meg közönségét. A 2004-ben megalakult zenekar hét nagylemez, egy egész estés zenekari film (Álmatlan), és megszámlálhatatlan koncert után - olyan, a műfaj szempontjából szokatlan helyszíneken is, mint a Fővárosi Nagycirkusz vagy a Nemzeti Színház - 2020-ban egy célzatos dallal (Ha egyszer ennek vége) biztatta és rázta fel közönségét, de igaz ez a mentalitás a formáció legutóbbi klipes szerzeményére is (Lábon kihordott szerelmek). A Müpában akusztikus koncert formájában ismét hangsúlyos az üzenet: az ókori görög filozófus, Platón barlanghasonlata kel életre egy összművészeti eseményen. Az Anna and the Barbies tagjai így fogalmaznak: „Az igazság erősebben világít, mint a Nap! Szófákhoz láncolt emberek lesik szinte hipnotikus révületben a pixelek által kreált árnyékképet a világról. Az agy piciny, életre utaló ingerei megbizseregtetik a gazdatestet a látókéregben, aki boldog, mert állítólag érzékel, él…”

Together for nearly 20 years now, Anna and the Barbies are giving an acoustic concert in which Plato's Allegory of the Cave will be projected onto Müpa Budapest's "great cave wall". Ever since the band's inception, they have been experimenting with crashing different branches of the arts together and creating fusions from what results. At the Hey, June! festival, the ensemble will present a rescored repertoire along with a human, moving, pulsating, breathing "bio-set", in the hopes of gaining us a shared glimpse out of the Platonic Cave.
Led by Anna Pásztor, Anna and the Barbies won over their audience with starkly honest and upliftingly positive lyrics and throbbing and captivating rock beats, along with an overwhelming stage presence. Since forming in 2004, they have come out with seven full-length albums and an extended band documentary film (Álmatlan) [Sleepless] while performing countless concerts, including in venues unusual for the genre, such as the Capital Circus of Budapest and the National Theatre. In 2020, they both reassured and shook up their audience with a pointed song titled Ha egyszer ennek vége, [If this ever ends] a mentality that is also true for the band's latest video (Lábon kihordott szerelmek) [Loves worn on feet]. In the form of an acoustic concert at Müpa Budapest, the emphasis will once again be on the message, with the ancient Greek philosopher Plato's Allegory of the Cave coming to life as a total art production. As the members of Anna and the Barbies put it, "Truth shines brighter than the sun! In an almost hypnotic trance, people chained to sofas gaze at the shadow image of the world created from pixels. The tiny, life-indicating stimuli of the brain tease the host body in the visual cortex, and this pleases the host body, for it means that it might be alive and capable of perception… ”
