Hetty Green will share her story growing up in New Bedford. She will speak of her husband Edward, their son Ned, and daughter Sylvia. She will also share how she entered the man’s world of finance and became the first successful woman trading on Wall Street.All Hetty programs are led by Dr. Irene Duprey-Gutierrez, who has been a Park Volunteer for 27 years. All programs are scheduled for Saturdays at 1:00 pm in the New Bedford Whaling National Historical Park at 33 William Street. Admission and programs are always free at the park.
