The Arizona Winds proudly presents this electrifying musical journey bringing to life the grandeur and emotion of legendary cinematic storytelling through some of America’s most iconic film scores. The program opens with The Right Stuff, honoring America’s astronaut pioneers, followed by Music from Braveheart, capturing the resilience of William Wallace in 14th Century Scotland. You will then experience the suspense of John Williams’ Out to Sea and The Shark Cage Fugue from the blockbuster movie Jaws, the sweeping beauty of Legends of the Fall, and the cosmic adventure of Symphonic Suite from Star Trek. Following intermission, The Patriot Suite reignites themes of bravery and sacrifice during the American revolution, while The Great Escape depicts the courage of our brave Americans during World War II. The whimsical energy of Madagascar adds a lighthearted touch before the grand finale—John Williams’ The Jedi Steps and Finale from Star Wars: The Force Awakens. As an encore, John Williams’ A Hymn to New England offers a poignant tribute to America’s pioneers and visionaries. Families, friends, and film lovers are invited to this free celebration of cinematic heroes and legendary stories.
