Hi everyone!
Date for the dairy. Saturday 16th August 2025. Charity "Dramming Table", £25 per head.
I'm hosting a charity event, to raise funds for Hero paws - Life AFTER service.
Obviously, I’m a big whisky fan, and have been for many years.
Another passion of mine, and quite possibly yours, is dogs!
What the majority of members don’t know about me though, is that I was also employed as an Army dog handler.
A fact generally not known, during my term of service, Military Working Dogs, were euthanized at the end of their working life. Heartbreaking, but true, and I don’t want to get into the politics of such, but suffice to say, this is no longer the case, and there are a few dedicated people, (also Ex-service personel, out there, who now retrain these dogs, to return to a “civilian” life, to live out their well deserved retirement. So, bringing these two passions together previously, collectively we raised £1500+.
So back to the event, and I apologise in advance for the length of this post.
Date: as above, 16th August 2025. (This doesn't conflict with any events in the NEWAS event calendar, so there's no excuse, not to come along and enjoy yourself!)
Location & time: Forest Hall Social Club. (Room/bar open18:00-23:00. Whisky pourinc from19:00-22:30.) The club is a 6 minute walk from Palmersville Metro station, along Great Lime Rd. (Unfortunately, there is no disable access.)
Format: "Dram table". (There will be numerous bottles, currently in excess of 20, with many more promised from donors.) Attendees will receive a glass, (to be returned), upon entry, and 6 tokens, to have your choice from the available whiskies. (See comments for donors.)
Price: Very competitively priced at £25 per head.
There will be bar snacks/sandwiches.
Also a raffle, so don't forget some cash.
Anyone wishing to donate bottles towards the event, will be very much appreciated.
This will be a ticketless event, so DM/PM me directly for a space.
