Hermeto Pascoal (22 June 1936 – 13 September 2025) passed on just a few months ago. The musical legend wrote over 10,000 compositions, was a talented multi-instrumentalist, and was musical father to Airto Moreira, Carlos Malta, Jovino Santos Neto, and many more brilliant artists. Miles Davis featured his compositions on Live-Evil and always wanted him to move to the states. Miles called him "the most formidable musician on the planet." Hermeto played and wrote music with the joy of a child and the sophistication of Duke Ellington. He holds a special place in our hearts for the inspiration and freedom he brought to music. Come celebrate his legacy with us at an afternoon matinee concert at the best listening room around, Sharp 9 Jazz Gallery! Rebecca Kleinmann, flutes
Ingrid Nora Knight, piano
Gastón Reggio, drums
Carlos Pino, bass
