Join Tony Wood for a stroll around the Bolehill Area of Wirksworth. The top of a hill was the ideal place for a bole (a lead smelting hearth) because of the wind. It was also the location of deep mines, soughs to drain them and the only place you can find Matlockite and Cromfordite in the World!Meet in the upper car park at Black Rocks at 11am. Walk costs £4 per person - cash only and please bring the correct change.
