Join us for the planting of Washington County's 250th Commemorative Tree planting on Thursday, October 9 at 10:00 AM in Marietta's Gold Star Park.America 250-Ohio will plant a white oak tree in all of Ohio’s 88 counties to honor our state’s role in the nation’s founding and commemorate the history of the location where it’s planted. By planting these trees in meaningful locations, Ohioans are actively preserving their local heritage while contributing to environmental sustainability.
Thank you to America 250-Ohio & Cenovus for sponsoring the 88 county program, Greenleaf Landscapes - Marietta for procuring the tree, the City of Marietta Ohio for helping us with all of the planting details, our Washington County Commissioners, Belpre City Schools vocal group and our local Veterans groups who will post colors for the event.
