About this Event
Join Peter Godley from the Nottingham Historical and Archaeological Society for a talk about the extensive network of caves that lie beneath the streets of Nottingham. Over the years some of the caves have been open to the public, but there are any more that remain accessible only to archaeologists and researchers. There are even some that have yet to be explored! The caves have been used as dwellings, sand mines, for tanning and brewing, as secure places for valuables and even as air raid shelters during the Second World War. Come along for some amazing insights into the historic cave life of Nottingham.
