Visit Rainham Hall as part of Heritage Open Day, a beautiful but hidden Georgian house and then wander around our perfectly formed Community Garden on the fringes of east London.Free to enter, no booking required.
Rainham Hall and Community Garden is located in the heart of Rainham Village within easy reach of public transport (train or bus routes). We are open from 11.00-16.30 (last entry for Hall 15.00).
In the Hall, you will be able to visit our current exhibition celebrating four different periods in the Hall's history. Our volunteers will give you an overview of the history of the Hall and then you have time to see the exhibition at your own pace.
The nearly three-acre Community Garden at Rainham Hall provides an oasis of urban green space for visitors to explore and enjoy, for free, all year round. The Garden splits into four distinct spaces: the Hall borders, the Orchard and Kitchen Garden, the Meandering borders, and the Woodland, including a small nature playground, outdoor classroom and a bee hive enclosure. Worked on by a dedicated team of volunteers from the local community, the Garden is constantly evolving and is full of seasonal delight.
