About this Event
The North East Culture Partnership and Historic England are once again working in partnership to present a regional heritage forum.
This is an opportunity for heritage organisations and practitioners in the sector to come together to discuss key issues.
This free event follows on from the well-received heritage forum held in April 2023, giving North East heritage organisations and practitioners the opportunity to discuss key issues, share ideas, and support increased partnership working.
Issues to be discussed include opportunities for the heritage sector within the North East Devolution Deal, and an exploration of the wide variety of learning and skills development across the heritage sector. Topics will be explored through presentations and breakout sessions.
The full programme of speakers is to be announced.
The forum will be chaired by Carol Pyrah, a seasoned heritage professional who is currently CEO of Urban Green Newcastle and Chair and a Trustee of the England, North Committee of the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
Carol has previously held leadership positions at English Heritage and Historic England and has a track record in place-based regeneration projects. She is passionate about the role of local places to foster civic pride and community cohesion.
The forum is followed by optional networking with a cash bar to 6.45pm, and the opportunity to see the recently opened exhibition Steam to Green: A North East Energy Revolution.
A limited number of Freelance Attendance Bursaries will be available. If you would like to be considered for one, please tick the relevant box when registering for the event. You will be contacted with further information about how to apply for a Freelance Attendance Bursary.
