Feed your Mind: Agricultural History in North Carolina with Fayetteville History Museum and Tour of Heritage Farm BuildingsMarch 11th, 12-1 pm (tour 1-2 pm)
Discover the rich agricultural history of North Carolina with a presentation from the Fayetteville History Museum. This engaging session will highlight the state’s agricultural roots and its influence on local culture. Following the presentation, enjoy a guided tour of the Heritage Farm Buildings, where you can see family farm life and tools and techniques firsthand. Historical reenactors will also be onsite to bring history to life.
Instructor Bio: Hattie Presnell is originally from Randolph County, in the heart of North Carolina. She arrived in Fayetteville 6 years ago when she began teaching history at Fayetteville Technical Community College. In August, she had the privilege of joining Fayetteville Parks and Rec as the Historic Properties Coordinator and loves sharing her passion of history and learning with the Cumberland Community. She is based at the Fayetteville History Museum and welcomes all to stop by for a visit!
Audience Target: This event is ideal for anyone with an interest in local history.
Format: A classroom lunch-time lecture followed by an optional guided tour of the Heritage Garden and Farm Buildings.
Fee Includes:

* A Guided Tour of the Heritage Garden led by Cape Fear Botanical Garden Staff
