335 N. Queen St., Lancaster, PA
The Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen (PGC), an official America250PA Nonprofit Affiliate, invites you to a special event celebrating the legacy of fine American craftsmanship.
Our Heritage Art & Craft Celebration will feature the America250PA Heritage Craft Display, highlighting handcrafted works that reflect three defining periods in our nation’s history: 1776–1800, 1801–1850, and 1851–1900. Member artists have submitted their work for display and jurying, offering a unique look at how historical craftsmanship continues to inspire contemporary makers.
Join us on Saturday, August 23, from 11 am to 3 pm for a reception that includes craft demonstrations, complimentary refreshments, and a special auction featuring handcrafted items.
Demonstrations include Basket Weaving with Bob Antonishak from 11 am-2 pm, Blacksmithing with Rod Spotts from 11 am-3 pm, and Weaving on a Rigid Heddle Loom with Margery Erickson from 2-3:30 pm.
This event is free and open to the public! Come explore the enduring traditions of heritage craft in the heart of Lancaster City!
