Here's to Song: Memorial Fundraising Recital

Please join us for an evening of music featuring mezzo-soprano Mairi-Irene McCormack and pianist Shannon Hiebert in support of a very special cause. The duo will perform a selection of classical vocal music including works by Matthew Emery, Manuel de Falla, Georges Bizet and Jake Heggie, as well as some favourite Celtic/folk and pop songs.

Alongside the musical entertainment, there will be a silent auction featuring a variety of wonderful items and an assortment of desserts will be served. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase.

This event is a fundraising effort for the , which was first established in July 2023. The fund supports Lewy Body dementia research at the University of Alberta. Further details about this research will be shared as part of the event.

The event will take place in the lobby of the Timms Centre for the Arts at the University of Alberta (underground paid parking is available.) Doors will open at 6:15pm, with the silent auction opening shortly after.
