At Open Door Church of God one of our core values is missions . . . both locally and globally. Every year the heartbeat of this church for supporting and equipping ministries and missionaries gets louder. We believe this is a biblical mandate for the local church. The Gospel of Matthew declares the Great Commission with the words of Jesus Christ himself saying, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (vv. 19-20 NIV).
These verses speak to the calling for discipleship and the spread of the Gospel message to all people.
Jesus said, “Therefore GO …”, and so … HERE WE GO!
The weekend of October 5th and 6th this Fall, Open Door Church of God is hosting the Here We Go Missions Conference, open to the entire community. The vision behind this missions’ conference is to celebrate what God is doing in and through His church to reach people locally and globally with the love of Jesus Christ. Saturday afternoon will offer a handful of workshops to choose from that provide opportunities to learn more about some of the ministries we support as a local church, but the presenters are planning for an audience made up of anyone from the community who desires to attend. We are preparing two powerful worship services for Saturday evening and Sunday morning and concluding the conference with a special concert featuring a children’s choir from Uganda, Africa.
There is no fee to participate in the Here We Go Missions Conference, it is absolutely FREE! We do ask that if you plan to participate in the Saturday afternoon workshops to sign up for the ones you want to attend so we can plan for them accordingly. This is not required but it will help us tremendously. You can do so through the online link or QR code provided. Registration is not needed for either of the worship services or the Sunday evening concert.
A love offering will be received during each of the worship services and the concert.
Plan to arrive at 1:00pm Saturday to check-in for the afternoon workshops.
