Here and Elsewhere brings together two distinct yet interconnected artistic visions. Both artists use vibrant colour and imaginative landscapes to explore not only the physical world around us, but also the shifting terrains of memory, imagination, and the mind.
From Norwich Cathedral and Walsingham Abbey to surreal, mythological, and cosmic scenes, the works move between the familiar and the fantastical. Jennings’ dancing lines and vivid ink washes capture the energy of local cityscapes, while Shuvalova’s oil paintings on wood weave together mythology, surrealism, and classical influences.
At the heart of the exhibition lies a shared reflection on home—its presence, its absence, and its transformations. Both artists have faced personal challenges around the idea of home, and their work translates these experiences into radiant, layered interpretations. In recognition of this, 20% of all proceeds will be donated to St Martins, a Norwich-based charity supporting people who are homeless.
