Ozark Planetary Magic- Class SeriesOzark folk healing is truly a plant-based system. In this class, we’ll explore our most beloved medicinal herbs, or “yarbs” as we call them. Learn an ancient form of herbalism based on correspondences from the seven classical planets: Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn. Learn about a variety of herbal uses and preparations from both a folk healing and magical perspective. Build your herbal repertoire with easy to use plants and simple recipes. This class series is taught by Ozark folklorist and writer Brandon Weston of Ozark Healing Traditions and is great for beginners as well as seasoned practitioners from any and all traditions.

Plants of the Sun, Mars, & Jupiter
Plants that enlighten. Waring and martial plants. Plants for fortune and luck. In part one of the Ozark Planetary Herbalism course, we’ll look at plants of the Sun, Mars, and Jupiter. Some favorites we’ll examine in greater detail include juniper, honey locust thorns, nutmeg nuts, buckeye nuts, five-finger grass, and many more. We’ll also craft a protective amulet using the power of the Sun and a good luck charm using plants of Jupiter. This class series is taught by Ozark folklorist and writer Brandon Weston of Ozark Healing Traditions and is great for beginners as well as seasoned practitioners from any and all traditions.
