Find something new for your garden – and all your tried-and-true favorites, too – as Richmond’s favorite plant sale, Herbs Galore, returns to Maymont on Saturday, April 26, 8am-3pm. Bring a wagon and shop from dozens of nurseries and specialty vendors spread out on the Carriage House Lawn offering an amazing array of herbs, annuals, perennials, trees and vegetables, plus garden-inspired accessories and gifts. Make a day of it! On the main stage, plant experts will present demos and talks, between sets of lively music from the Richmond Indigenous Gourd Orchestra. Budding young gardeners can try crafts and activities at the Education Station. The gardens and grounds at Maymont will be in lush bloom, and audio tours of the Italian Garden are free. Local food vendors will offer a selection of treats and mimosas. Advance reservations* are advised; admission is $10 for adults, $6 for children (3-16), and free for Maymont members and Museums for All participants. Event proceeds help care for Maymont.
*Advance ticket reservations may be made online any time. Free admission for Museums for All participants (and up to three guests) is available by showing a SNAP/EBT card at the event entrance, or in advance between 10am-5pm on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays at The Robins Nature Center or Stone Barn Welcome Center.
