Join us at Adams Wildlife Sanctuary on Saturday, January 18th for a very important primer on herbicide application. This specialized training is for Friends of the Sangamon Valley (FOSV) volunteers and Master Naturalists in need of their “Volunteer Operator License” which is required for application of herbicides such as triclopyr (Garlon 4) and glyphosate (Roundup, Rodeo) on FOSV properties. This is also a valuable training for landowners working to control invasive species such as bush honeysuckle, autumn olive, burning bush, and wintercreeper on their property. Learn from board member, volunteer, and Master Naturalist Jim Struebing how to safely use herbicide in your natural area stewardship efforts! Please call 217-494-3115 or email [email protected] to register for this free event!
