Rediscover the Wild Wisdom of Weeds, and Learn to Grow, Forage & Blend Your Own Healing TeasWhat if the so-called “weeds” in your garden were actually medicine in disguise?
In this hands-on workshop, part of The Apothecary Garden series, we’ll explore the forgotten power of wild Scottish plants — from nettle to dandelion, yarrow to sticky willy — and learn how these everyday herbs can be used both medicinally and nutritionally. With a blend of folk wisdom and modern herbal knowledge, you’ll gain a fresh appreciation for the plants that thrive around us.
We’ll begin with the herbs themselves — learning how to recognise them, understand their traditional uses and healing properties, and identify important safety considerations. You’ll also receive guidance on growing these herbs at home (even in a pot!), respectful foraging, and methods for drying and storing your harvest.
You’ll taste a variety of seasonal tea blends throughout the class and then create your own herbal tea to take home, blending from a carefully selected range of locally inspired ingredients.
This workshop is perfect for beginners, gardeners, and anyone drawn to the magic of plants and their stories.
