As the days grow shorter and the chaos of the holiday season approaches, our bodies and spirits crave warmth, rest, and nourishment from the inside out. Between travel, gatherings, and the rush of it all, it's easy to feel depleted. This is the exact moment that the wisdom of plant medicine calls us back. Join Bear Crevier for an afternoon of seasonal herbal wisdom and hands-on tea blending, where you'll learn how you craft your own healing tea blends to support immunity, digestion, relaxation, emotional balance, and other symptoms of cold and flu season through the winter months.
This workshop will guide you through the energetics of herbs, how to match plants to your body's needs, and explore the traditional uses of common roots, flowers, and leaves for seasonal wellness. You'll leave with a deeper understanding of herbal medicine as the first medicine, and a sacred partnership between humans and earth. Plus you'll take home your very own herbal tea blend to sip on!
Together we'll sip, blend, and connect in community creating teas that can nourish through the dark, quieter months and even serve as heartfelt, homemade gifts for loved ones.
You'll learn:
•The foundational energetics of herbs (warming vs. cooling, drying vs. moistening)
•How to blend teas for stress relief, immunity, and sleep
•Simple tips of creating herbal tips this holiday season
•Understand how to support yourself, your friends, and your family through sickness symptoms using herbs
Come tend to your wellbeing the old-fashioned way; with your hands, your senses, and the wisdom of plants.
About Bear:
Bear Crevier is an educator, grower, and earth steward dedicated to helping people reconnect with the natural world. After a decade of service in the U.S. Army, including deployments to Iraq and Africa, he was medically retired in 2014 and turned his focus to community-based healing and ecological restoration. That same year, he founded New England Adventures, a nonprofit connecting veterans and their families with nature and outdoor experiences.
His own health challenges led him to explore food as medicine, sparking a deep commitment to regenerative living. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Bear transformed his property into a thriving permaculture food forest, growing nutrient-dense food and medicinal plants. In 2024, he earned his Permaculture Design Certification, expanding his work to teach others how to grow their own food and cultivate sustainable ecosystems.
Bear’s passion extends into the world of mushrooms and mycology, where he explores fungi’s vital role in healing both land and body. He now focuses on creating educational programs and community projects that weave together permaculture, foraging, and earth-based wisdom. Residing in Chicopee,Massachusetts , Bear continues to nurture the soil, the spirit, and the symbiotic relationship between humans and nature.
