Whether you are a pregnant, love someone who is pregnant, or are a birth worker, this is a great beginners workshop to learn about safe and simple herbal remedies for support during the childbearing years. Attendees will come home with greater connection to our local birthing community, a handout with information on all the herbs discussed, and recipes for some unique and tasty herbal remedies. We Will Explore:
Simple, safe, accessible herbal remedies such as nourishing herbal infusions, tinctures, herbal oils, sitz baths
Herbal remedies for common pregnancy discomforts such as nausea, back pain, restless legs & stretching skin
Preparing the body for birth with herbal tonics
Supporting the nervous system in postpartum
Healing and recovering after birth with herbs
Herbal support for lactation
About the location:
This workshop takes place at the Turning Point Center, a local women owned and run acupuncture clinic that provides exceptional care to the community. Acupuncture can be a powerful healing modality for physical and emotional well being, and is very supportive while before, during, and after pregnancy. About your host:
Sage Siera of Lunar Bloom Doula has been a folk herbalist for going on a decade, and an active birth and postpartum doula for 2+ years. While she makes and sells her own herbal products, she loves to empower her community with knowledge on how to support ourselves using safe and simple herbal remedies.
Tickets:
Tickets are sliding scale $20-60 per person at the door, with no one turned down for lack of funds.
