This infusion workshop will teach participants how to make herbal infusions and how they can be used in your everyday life. All materials and herbs are provided for this workshop.We will discuss how to make herbal oils, tea blends, and other herbal preparations during this infusion workshop. Additional topics will include:
Harvesting: How to sustainably harvest local herbs
Infusing: How to infuse herbs into oil or water
Blending: How to create tea blends with herbs and essential oils
Medicinal uses: How different herbs can be used for topical application or to relieve symptoms
Herb-to-oil ratios: How to calculate the ratio of herbs to oil for infusions
Shelf life: How to create infusions with a long shelf life
Each workshop can be attended as a stand alone class. However, this workshop is part one of a three part series; Infusing the oils, creating tinctures, and finishing with making Salves.
We can use the infusions from this class to create your salves in the 3rd workshop of the series!
This workshop is appoximetly 2 hours long. A third hour has been set aside for anyone that would like to stay for continued discussions.
