Join us for the first in person medicine making classes of the year!Come out to The Duvall Herb Farm and learn to make an herbal face oil from Natalie Hammerquist of The Adiantum School. Class will be held outside, and we will be making a rose, calendula and chamomile infused face oil... all the herbs from the farm! We'll end class with a three step herbal facial treatment: an oatmeal scrub, a hydrosol mist and our homemade oil. Everyone will get to take home a 1 oz bottle of face oil.
We'll also get a farm tour from Lindsey from The Duvall Herb Farm. You'll have an opportunity to purchase veggies and herbs from the farm: a list will be sent ahead of time to participants with an option to pre-order.
Skills learned in this class:
- hands on experience with making an alcohol intermediary oil
- plants that work well for facial care.
- topical uses of rose, calendula and chamomile
- storage of oils
- a sample facial care regimen with 100% DIY items (recipes will be on our handout)
Please bring:
- pen and notebook
- snacks and water
- a folding camp chair (we'll have some extras too)
- weather appropriate clothing
- apron just in case
Max Participants: 12
Mask policy: Masks will be required to wear in class for unvaccinated folks, and not required (voluntary) for vaccinated folks. We plan on following the state mandate. Our policy may change as class gets closer and the state makes new decisions, so please check back in before class. I would bring a mask just in case!
