Forage, grow, observe, taste, make & feel!
About this Event
Welcome to Herb Club - introducing wild hearted souls to awesome edible and medicinal plants led by herbalist Nicola Fenton, of Fenton's Herbology.
We'll be meeting monthly, on the first Saturday of the month within the beautiful Stamford Community Orchard.
HERB CLUB DECEMBER!!
We'll be exploring the hedgerows to see what's happening within them during the winter months, reflecting on the natural world in winter, and making a rosehip winter oxymel to take home with you!
Stay warm with a warm seasonal hot toddy, scoff some cake and chat with other like minded wild hearted souls!
What is Herb CLub all about...?
We'll be foraging! Discover what plants you are passing by, and learn how to harvest and use them! Become confident at what is safe to touch, sniff and nibble - and some of the do's and don't's that go with it!
We'll be growing! Grow your own herbs so you can learn what it takes to take care of our plant friends to help them grow - and then be rewarded with awesome tasting plants so you can make your own cups of herbal teas!
We'll be observing! The key to really learning about plants is to observe them and using our senses to get to know them, and slowing down - a very special skill to practice!
We'll be tasting! Throughout the seasons we'll be tasting loads of different plants - from a nibble of them when they are freshly picked - to devouring them in cakes, different bakes and drinks!
And along the way we'll be making things from plants and the nature around us!
