Charlie Havenick
Longtime stand-in drummer and instrumentalist for several LA indie rock outfits, (MyVeronica, Cryogeyser, Friend’s House, The Stamp Collection) Charlie Havenick steps to the forefront in a new configuration of her band. In the space between classical conducting and maudlin shoegazing, Havenick's seven piece project is a force to be reckoned with.
Charlie enters new territory in “Sprinkler Song”, melding folk sentiments and warbling pedal steel with expansive, tried and true shoegaze moments. The release is nostalgic and evocative, as Havenick’s blaring guitars and drums cut through a folky waltz, floating in three. This track was produced by Sebastian Owen Jones and features pedal steel by Tommy de Bourbon.
