Music by DJ SAvvy from Canada who has played internationally from France to Spain, to Germany and the Netherlands! We are excited to welcome DJ SAvvy to Portland and for her first time mixing in the U.S.! Also mixing for us will be our very own DJ Panaflex, so get ready for some amazing Ghetto Zouk and Urban beats!
Heneco started Kizomba in 2014, learning from Eden Kims and Aude Gaelle Deelight, then honing his skills with Curtis Seldon. After some time as a taxi dancer and teacher in the KTT team (Khao Suay team), he joined the CMD "Change My Dance" team in 2016, and started teaching in their school. In November 2022, Heneco became the Vice Olympic Champion in the UrbanKiz category at the 2022 Kizomba Olypiades competition in Paris.
In this Weekender workshop series with Heneco, we will focus on 3 Kiz fundamentals: Touches, Rotation, and Crosses.
Intermediate/Advanced track with Heneco includes 6 hours of training, 2 pre-social classes, 2 socials, and house party for 18+ hours of Kizomba dancing!
Sunday Beginner Bootcamp will be taught by our wonderful local Kiz instructor, Colleen Carris. Includes 2 hours of training, 2 pre-social classes, 2 socials and house party for 14+ hours of Kizomba dancing!
