Ykköstyypit ry organizes open meetings for adult type 1 diabetics in Finland. You can join our meetups as long as you are type 1 and anything between 18 and 200 years old.On August 17th (wednesday), at 6 PM (18:00), it’s time to welcome all of you international type 1s to our group! ?
Whether you are from Ukraine, elsewhere Europe, Americas, Asia, Africa or Australia, or some other country, you are welcome. We do speak Finnish and English, some even Swedish and other languages, depending on who’s around.
We have actually earlier made visits to Stockholm, Sweden and London, UK to meet up with their local type 1s, and those have been some funny & emotional happenings indeed!
In the same way, now we’re seeking international fellow type 1s here from Finland, just to get together with us, having good vibes at Pub Peräkammari. We can chit chat about the diabetes itself, but also anything else - we have an almost totally free speech mentality!
The pub has both food and drinks on menu, and please note that everybody pays for him/herself’s food&drinks. ?
So gather a little courage, get up, pack your insulins and let’s see there! ?. And yes, you have to be over 18 to participate.

Please note that all adults with type 1 diabetes can attend our meetings, as we do not have membership requirements. So it's enough to be yourself, type 1 diabetic :).
