Please note: This is an event for farmers only, due to limited capacity we cannot welcome agents, reps or advisers.
Please choose from the morning or afternnon session.
Topics may include:
- Manure management: calculating how much slurry storage you have, advice on how to increase slurry storage, roofing yards, new slurry stores, soil permeability tests. Management of farmyard manure. Free specialist visits from CSF: slurry and manure handling.
- Yard infrastructure: advice on how to make silage clamps compliant, yard drainage and more. Free specialist visits from CSF: Farm infrastructure appraisals.
- Field management: Nutrient management planning, how to prevent soil erosion from crops such as maize. Free specialist visits: Whole farm nutrient management (works well with a group of farmers working together)
We will also discuss:
- The organisations that can support in different ways: CSF, EA. NFU. FCN, Duchy.
- We encourage conversations between farmers to share solutions and knowledge.
