About this Event
January 2025 – Senior Wellness: Brevard Parkinson's Alliance
Approximately 1 million people in the U.S. have Parkinson's disease, with a new diagnosis occurring every six minutes and around 90,000 new diagnoses each year. Age is the most significant risk factor, with a diagnosis typically occurring around age 69, though it affects all ages. Men are also more likely to be diagnosed with PD than women. Globally, the number of people with PD is expected to double by 2040, largely due to an aging population.
Let's learn (and even experience an important Parkinson's LIVE demo) with experts Russ Lewey and Mica Allen, of the Brevard Parkinson's Alliance.
