The Friends of Cumberland Mountain State Park (CMSP) have been awarded an Iris Grant to plant a pollinator meadow and we need your help! Obed Watershed Community Association (OWCA) is partnering with Friends of CMSP, Master Gardeners, Fairfield Glade Garden Club, and Obed Forest Gardens to plant a pollinator meadow and we are looking for volunteers! We are finishing up the Iris Grant by planting a meadow at the start of the ADA trail, across from the park office. We have 3,800 pollinator friendly plant plugs to hopefully get into the ground where the 6 tarps were. This will be the second session to finish the planting from last Friday.We will meet at the Recreation Lodge at 10:00am and then head to the trail to plant!
Each volunteer will receive a gift wristband: “Bee a Friend for Pollinators”.
