Invitation to co-design the future Whitehouse Street Plaza
About this Event

As part of the transformation of the Whitehouse Street area, Bristol City Council is inviting you to an interactive workshop to help shape a new public plaza at the junction of Whitehouse Street and Princess Street.

Join us for one of three sessions on Friday 19th June and be part of imagining what the future Whitehouse Street Plaza could become.

This is not a typical consultation workshop — you’ll take part in an immersive, hands-on experience using innovative technology to bring ideas to life.

Through Future Places AR (Augmented Reality), you’ll be able to visualise your ideas in real time, overlaid onto the existing space.

Using devices similar to those behind apps like Pokémon GO, you’ll see and hear your shared ideas unfold around you. As the session progresses, your vision for the plaza will begin to appear in the space itself — transforming the familiar surroundings into a living, evolving concept of the future.

With immersive sound and visual elements, you’ll experience how the plaza could look, feel, and sound.

Come along, share your ideas, and help create a vibrant new public space for your neighbourhood.

Please note that we will be attempting to fill each workshop with a mix of individuals and business representatives from the local area, so we cannot guarantee everyone signing up will be able to attend. Once you have signed up, we will be in touch closer to the event to confirm your place.
