Help restore western azaleas at Humboldt Lagoons State Park!
Come join us at Humboldt Lagoons State Park for a day of giving back to nature! These volunteer events will involve removing competing vegetation and invasive non-native plants.
- Volunteers receive 1 free day use pass to Sue-meg State Park.
- All events are free to the public and all ages welcome (minors must be accompanied by parent or legal guardian).
- Pulling out invasive species is a moderate activity and participants are encouraged to wear sturdy shoes for walking off trail, bring loppers if you have them, a hat, work gloves, and water.
- Meet at the Stagecoach Hill Azalea Trailhead on Big Lagoon Ranch Road. Take Highway 101 to Kane Road (highway marker 112.5); turn right and go up the hill, then turn left onto Big Lagoon Ranch Road following the signs to the trailhead.
