About this Event

Help restore western azaleas at Humboldt Lagoons State Park!

Come join us at Humboldt Lagoons State Park for a day of giving back to nature! These volunteer events will involve removing competing vegetation and invasive non-native plants.

  • Volunteers receive 1 free day use pass to Sue-meg State Park.
  • All events are free to the public and all ages welcome (minors must be accompanied by parent or legal guardian).
  • Pulling out invasive species is a moderate activity and participants are encouraged to wear sturdy shoes for walking off trail, bring loppers if you have them, a hat, work gloves, and water.
  • Meet at the Stagecoach Hill Azalea Trailhead on Big Lagoon Ranch Road. Take Highway 101 to Kane Road (highway marker 112.5); turn right and go up the hill, then turn left onto Big Lagoon Ranch Road following the signs to the trailhead.

Let's work together to make Humboldt Lagoons State Park a beautiful and thriving place for all to enjoy. Don't miss out on this opportunity to make a difference in your community!
