Bob Ross was a famous painter of landscapes in the 80s. He featured on TV and created a few YouTube videos for anyone to follow along to create your very own landscape painting using basic art techniques that anyone can achieve. He was one of the most watched YouTube channels of 2020 because of his calm voice and visual stimulation. He even has a documentary on Netflix which is very interesting.If you would like to create a Bob Ross painting but don't feel you can achieve it on your own then this class is perfect for you. Annie, your host, will play one of Bob's 27 minute YouTube videos that you will follow. Annie will stop and start the video at various points to guide and show you how to create the technique that Bob demonstrates. Once the techniques are done the video will resume until the next part and so forth. You will be guided at each stage of the process in creating your own landscape painting.
At the end of the class you will go home with your very own painting you created in class. There are no skills needed to try this. Complete beginner's is what Annie specializes in. So give it a go and meet some new friends along the way.
The class starts at 1.30pm and will finish at 4pm. Cost is $55 which includes all art materials. Location; The Maker Workshop @ The Arts Centre - corner of Rolleston and Hereford Street entrance.
