About this Event
Emerging artist Lucinda Penn (LCND) and the Adelaide Central Market are inviting you to help bring her design to life in a 'paint by numbers' fashion where you will be filling in some of the colours of the design.
The design is entitled ' I Think of the Colour of the Markets' and brings together the colourful array of the ACM's unique multi-cultural rainbow of offerings. Drawing on Lucinda's experiences growing up and visiting the markets, she aims to connect with passers by as the symbolism sparks their own nostalgia.
An exciting 3D element will also be built into the piece when the mural painting is finished!
Book your spot fast as this free opportunity is extremely limited due to spacial and Covid restrictions:
- Volunteers must arrive wearing a mask in line with Covid 19 restrictions.
- Volunteers must be over the age of 13.
- No painting experience is required, just enthusiasm and cooperation!
- Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your session and wear old clothes that you don't mind getting paint on.
The wall is located just inside the South East entrance on Gouger Street. Look for the orange bunting and me wearing purple!
